Better late than never

Believe it or not, we've almost checked off everything on my "nesting" to-do list!
After almost 2 years, we finally finished decorating our bedrooms.

As you can tell, JJ prefers the new color! (It's prettier in real life - definitely a shade or two darker than what is showing here)

Shaggy Raggy Rug

We found the perfect rug for the nursery.
Jola and Josh seem to really enjoy it!
(Although, you wouldn't know Josh was happy by looking at his expression;-))

Nursery Floors

We ripped out the old carpet and had the hardwoods that were underneath refinished. I LOVE it...and, so does Jola!

Thought you would enjoy seeing where Jola sleeps most nights...

Hiccups and Belly Buttons

Everything is going well and right on track. Baby Bartlett still loves his/her hiding spot and usually stays head down as low as it can go. It pops around to the side every now and then - I'm able to track where the head is by the crazy hiccups.
I am fascinated by the way my belly contorts as Baby B moves now - it totally shifts my belly into all kinds of funny shapes.

The baby's new game is to poke/tug/play with (not really sure what's going on) with my belly button from the inside which is a CRAZY feeling! You know how sensitive the belly button is from the outside - the inside is definitely amplified. I told Baby Bartlett that if we keep playing this game I was going to be sure to say embarrassing things to his/her friends when the teenage years started rolling around;-)

"We can have a good time... but we cannot be wild"

I am so unbelievably blessed to have amazing friends!
At 30 weeks, my amazing best friends from college treated me to the perfect girls weekend shower. It was just what the doctor ordered.

Blakeley's wonderful parents were so sweet and offered their beautiful home for our 'staycation'. We were even joined by the latest editions to the group, Mia and Parks. They are little angels...I hope Baby Bartlett was taking notes!
Girl talk and a lot of laughter definitely took away all of the life/pregnancy/work stresses! And, what little was left, the pregnancy massage that they treated me to took care of. It was AMAZING! (seriously the best massage)

They spoiled me with gifts - our highchair that I'm so excited about (who knew a highchair could be so exciting) and a basket full of Mommy gifts - from slippers for the hospital to a hand painted journal for me to write to Baby Bartlett in. It was all so thoughtful and sweet.

It was the perfect weekend - full of poolside gossip, no makeup, virgin margaritas and lots & lots of laughter!
Carrie & Suz - We missed you!

Oh, and we tested & confirmed the theory that pregnant bellies float:
